Story_
In a near future dominated by augmented-reality eyepieces, a troubled young man who suffers from agoraphobia experiences an unlikely transformation when he comes across a mysterious A.I. that transforms every facet of his life into a game.
Visual style_
The smart contact lenses play a critical role in our story, almost acting as an additional character throughout the film. They project holographic user interfaces and games over the real world. This innovative technology combines spatial, volumetric, and HUD-based UIs, demonstrating the potential of spatial computing and futuristic AI interfaces.
That posed an intriguing challenge as we reimagined how traditionally flat UIs—like those used for social media, navigation, and gaming—would adapt to spatial scenarios, embedding seamlessly onto the real-world.
The VFX alone took us over a year to complete.

In 2012 we created a short sci-fi film titled SIGHT, which became a viral success.
Years later, it seems that the themes in SIGHT are more relevant than ever: Meta is building the Metaverse, Apple released their Vision Pro headset and AI tools like ChatGPT and generative AI are revolutionizing our lives. So we decided to embarked on the thrilling journey to expand our short film into the feature film Sight Extended.
But making a sci fi film, that is packed with VFX, with a very small indie budget, while the world is under Covid lockdown, was not an easy task... Yet despite the challenges, our talented team managed to pull it off and we created over 600 breathtaking VFX shots! We designed a stunning array of user interfaces, holographic displays, and 3D animations, meticulously compositing them to bring a dynamic and believable world to life.

Even thought the film had its festival run during Covid, it still managed to enjoy a succeful run, premiring in the US, Paris and Australia. The film recived several awards, including best VFX, best film, best story and best actor. Sight Extended was sold in over 15 territories across the globe.
